Bayshore Gets 1st Victory CAPE MAY — Bayshore Lounge won its first game of the season in the city Men's Softball League as it defeated Law's Printing 9-5. Bayshore was led by Dave Dickenson and Paul Cronin. who had 3 hits apiece. Doc's Custard defeated Burke Builders twice this past week. 26-12 and 7-6. Doc's scored its 26 runs on 32 hits, including 5 hits i from Joe Tomlin and 4 hits i each from Jeff Tomlin. Kevin Boyle. Chuck Dougherty, and Steve Hartley. August H 5-9 is for boys 9-18. August 12-16 is for girls 9-18. Les Burke, former head basketball coach at Spring Garden College, compiled a 148-74 record in 10 winning seasons. He has just completed his fourth consecutive winning season at LaSalle. where his teams compiled a 50-14 record in the Catholic North Division. Panthers, Aces Win STONE HARBOR - The Lions Club Little League season began with the Panthers and Aces each posting impressive victories. The opening day ballgames between the Panthers and Wildcats was highlited by the one-hit pitching performance of Pan- _ ther David Reagan.' Reagan dominated Wildcat hitters through four innings. but gave up an opposite field homerun to opposing pitcher Lee Russel in the fifth. Reagan rebounded and finished strongly, posting his first career victory 12-4. The game Friday, July 5, between the Eagles and Aces displayed remarkable defense by both ballclubs. Ace pitcher Scott Juenger (12 strikeouts) allowed but one hit. a double with two outs in the fifth by Kevin Zilligan. enroute to his team's 11-3 triumph. Catcher Allen Starret provided the necessary firepower for the Aces, clubbing a double and a home run i4 RBI's). The Little League holds tryouts for youngsters 8-13 every Monday.
