Nature Program

CAPE MAY POINT - The weekday nature program at Cape May Point State Park includes guided Geographic Hosts Lecture CAPE MAY - The Cape May Geographic Society will present a lecture on "The Shells of Cape May" by Letty Parks tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the West Cape May Municipal Building. The past president of the Jersey Cape Shell Club and editor of the club's newsletter, Parks has studied shells for the past decade and specializes in the shells of the county. Admission is free for members, $1 for non-members. Children are admitted free when accompanied by an adult

walking tours and slide shows. The walks begin at the State Park Visitors Center, and the slide shows are held in the Environmental Education Building, next to the center. The schedule follows : General Nature Walks— 10 : 30 a . m . Tuesday and 2 p.m. Wednesday. BEACH WALK— 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Wildflower and Weed Walk— 1 p.m. Monday and 10:30 a.m. Friday. Herbal and Edible Plant Walk— 10 a.m. Thursday. Insect Walk— l p.m. Friday. Beginners Bird Walk— 8 a.m. Monday and Thursday. Evening Bird Walk— 3 p.m. Friday. SLIDE SHOWS are: "Historic Cape May Point"— 1 p.m. Thursday. "A Pictorial Walk through Cape May Point State Park" — 1 p.m. Tuesdays. "Bird Melodies" slide show and taped bird calls, 10 a.m. Monday and 1 p.m. Wednesday. Crowning Of Queen Maysea CAPE MAY - The 1985 Queen Maysea LIII and her court will be honored at Convention Hall Wednesday. Aug. 7. when the new queen is crowned during the 53rd Annual Queen Maysea Coronation. Queen Maysea LIII is Melissa Anne Barber, daughter of Diana and Andrew Barber of North Cape May. The festivities are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. with Mayor Arthur Blomkvest presiding over the ceremonies. MUSIC FOR the occasion will be handled by the A1 Raymond Orchestra. In addition the audience will be entertained at intermission by students of the Jersey Cape Dance Center. Last year's Queen Maysea Denise Dwyer and her court will also participate in the coronation and be recognized for their one-year reign Friday, Aug. 9, beginning at 11 a.m., the 1985 Queen Maysea LIII and her court will be featured in Cape May's 53rd Annual Baby Parade. Penn. Included in the entertaining revue will be a variety of titillating Victorian musical numbers. The performances will be presented on the open-air stage behind the Emlen Physick Cottage at 1048 Washington St.
