Concerned Group Starts 'Kids Stop'

DEL HAVEN - Interested neighbors have banded together in a new community organization — the Del Haven Kids Stop. Blood Appeal SEA ISLE CITY - A blood donation session will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 44th and Central Avenues, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 31. Prospective donors can call the Red Cross at 646-7000 to make an appointment or for more information.

The 15-member group hopes to increase membership and encourages residents to attend a meeting at the Green Creek Fire House on Bayshore Road, at 8 p.m. tomorrow. The group's purpose is to raise money for recreational equipment that will be placed at County Park South on Bayshore Road. Corresponding secretary Mary Ellen Ferguson said Middle Township has agreed to give the effort $3,000. Other money may come from the county, and the Kids Stop hopes to raise $3,000 by the end of February so the

playground can open next June. "Little by little we hope to build it into something like the county park." she said. The group plans to have many fund-raisers, according to Ferguson.
