Statewide Earnings Take Jump TOMS RIVER - Statewide Bancorp reported a 40° percent increase in earnings in the second quarters 1985 with net earnings of $3,144,393 and primary earnings per share of 95 cent, compared to 74 cent for the same period in 1984. The first six months earnings for 1985 show a net increase of 23 percent with record earnings of $5,694,000 and primary earnings per share of $1 68 as compared to $4,646,443 net earnings for the first six months of 1984 This favorable increase, for the first six months of 1985. in net earnings, average assets and retained earnings have produced a return on average assets in excess of l percent and an increase to 22.5 percent on the return on average common equity. This places Statewide Bancorp in the highest performance holding company peer group in the State of New Jersey.
