Viet Vet Center At Hughes ' Office
NORTHFIELD - The . U.S. Veterans Administra tion has temporarily opened a counseling center for Vietnam-era veterans from South Jersey in the Northfield office of Congressman Bill Hughes iDNJ). Hughes said he has opened his office to the VA on an interim basis until the agency establishes a permanent location for its new counseling center in South Jersey. He said the VA expects to pin down that site within the next few months. •LAST YEAR, the Veterans Administration announced plans to open 52 counseling centers for Vietnam-era veterans around the country, including one in South Jersey." Hughes said. "With more than 31,000 Vietnam-era veterans alone living in seven South Jersey counties, that announcement was welcome news for our region. "The VA has been searching for the past several months for a permanent location for its counseling center, and hopes to settle on a site shortly," he continued. "In the meantime, I am very pleased that the VA has agreed to use my Northfield office on a temporary basis, to begin helping those veterans in need of assistance." HUGHES SAID professional counselors from the VA are available all day on Tuesdays and Thursdays to meet with area veterans at his office, 2307 New Road. Veterans wishing to make an appointment can cont a c t the office at Newcomer STONE HARBOR - The Hawk family, which has been vacationing in this borough since 1925, has welcomed the newest member of the clan, Elizabeth Anne Mulholland of Pittsburgh, just one month old Proud grandmother is Anne B.
