McCormick Gets Wings NORTH WILDWOOD - Navy Lt. j.g. John T. McCormick. son of Ruth and John T. McCormick Jr. of 100 E. 21st Ave., has been designated a naval aviator. Presentation of the "Wings of Gold" marked the culmination of 18 months of flight training. McCormick's curriculum included basic studies in engineering and navigation. training flights in simulators, aircraft familiarizations, basic and advanced instrument training. extended naviagation flights and landings aboard an aircraft carrier.
