Some Favorite Recipes Pasta 's Great , Hot or Cold

SPAGHETTI PRIMAVERA 1 tablespoon butter or oleo 2 tablespoons cooking oil l minced garlic clove 1 medium zucchini, cut in •'a" slices lMt cups cut broccoli VS cup chopped green pepper M» cup chopped onion 1 - 1 lb. pkg rotelle, cooked and drained Alfredo sauce !/4 cup gratged Parsesan ' cheese 2 med. tomatoes, peeled and chopped Melt butter in oil on low heat; add garlic and zucchini, broccoli, green pep per and onion Saute on medium heat 5 minutes, cover and simmer 2 minutes. Sept. 21 and 22. are now available The expo is being provided as a free service to all senior citizens. WALDORF NOODLE SALAD 2 cups sour cream cup honey 3 medium apples, cut into 1" pieces t large orange, peeled and cut into 1" pieces l'a cups chopped celery 1 cup chopped walnuts Village Slates German Dancers COLD SPRING - Historic Cold Spring Village will host programs for dance fans and auto buffs this weekend. On Saturday, the German Dance Tour, a group from central Pennsylvania, will present a program from noon to 4 p.m. On Sunday, the Jersey Cape Auto Club will display antique cars throughout the village from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cold Spring Village is located on Seashore Road, a half-mile north of the Seashore Road-Ferry Road inter-section. Chalfonte Sessions With Wine CAPE MAY - The Chalfonte Hotel is presenting a summer series of wine tastings designed to increase the participant's interest and basic knowledge of wine. Wine tastings are held 5-6:30 p.m. each Saturday. Reservations are required Tastings will be relaxed and informative, each limited to 12 people Following a brief discussion of the characteristics of the particular region and grape, seven wines will be tasted and compared. Bread and assorted cheeses will accompany the wine. The 1985 Chalfonte wine tasting schedule includes the following tastings: today. 4 cup raisins 1 - 8 oz. pkg. wide egg noodles, cooked and drained Salad greens Combine sour cream and honey; blend. Add apples, orange, celery, walnuts, raisins; blend. Add noodles; toss; chill. Serve on salad greens. Serves 12. SHRIMP FRA DIAVOLO (Electric Skillet) 2 cloves garlic, minced Va cup finely chopped onion 3 tablespoons butter or oleo 1 lb. med shrimp, shelled and deveined 2 cups spaghetti sauce 1/8 teaspoon cayenne 3 drops hot sauce lb. linguine, cooked and drained Saute (300°) garlic and onion in butter until tender; add remaining ingredients except linguine. Cover; simmer (200°) for 3-5 minutes. Serve over linguine. Serves 3 to 4.

MACARONI AND CHEESE l'/2 cup macaroni 2 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons flour teaspoon salt Dash pepper 2 cups skim milk 2 cups American Cheese, cubed V4 cup finely cut onion 1 med. tomato, sliced Salt Green pepper rings Cook macaroni in salted water and drain. In saucepan blend butter, flour, salt and pepper. Add milk. Cook and stir until mixture bubbles. Add cheese and onion until well blended. Stir in macaroni; turn into 1 Vfc quart casserole. Sprinkle tomato with salt. Arrange tomato and pepper rings, on top. Bake, uncovered, in 350 degree oven for 30-35 minues. Florence L.D.
