Weakfish, Blues Top Action
COURT HOUSE - Fluke, weakfish and bluefish dominate fishing action for salt water anglers fishing Cape May County waters. Wreck fishing enthusiasts are finding good supplies of sea bass, ling and blackfish, plus the first showing of small porgies. Offshore trolling boats are catching some white and blue marlin as well as tuna and dolphin from the 30 fathom curve out to and in the Wilmington and Baltimore Canyons. As the summer progresses these exotics will move closer to shore and within range of more boaters. DELAWARE BAY activity picked up this week with a good showing of weakfish from five to nine pounds. Best fishing has been inside Four Fathom Slough, where anglers are catching fluke and weakfish. Brandywine and Brown Shoals have also produced good catches of weakfish and fluke. Some days the bay boats are picking up small blues j r AVALON > Appliance Center 967-4621 2345 DUNE DR. AVALON

Corson's Inlet, and Ludlam's Bay have also been accounting for improved fluke catches with some weakfish mixed in. Weakfish and fluke are also being caught in the sounds behind Avalon. Bluefish continue to bite well for the trolling fleet as well as for the night chumming boats. A slowdown in bluefish action ended when the fish moved back in to within range of the fleets from Ocean City to Cape May. Joe Livolsy of Holland, Pa., caught a 16-lb. blue while Ashing with Capt.
