Cape May Tours Go Through Sept. 2 I
CAPE MAY - Trolley, walking, and house museum tours < including a Beach Drive tour) will be featured daily through Sept. 2 to help acquaint visitors with the city's Victorian splendors. The Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) will sponsor: Trolley tours of the National Landmark District, including the Historic East End tour, which includes the historic Physick Estate, two Victorian hotels, picturesque Columbia Avenue, busy Ocean Street, and tree-lined Hughes Street. THE HISTORIC West End tour includes Congress Hall. Huntington House, the famous Pink House. Congress Place. Perry Street, and the aligned por ches of Decatur Street. The Historic Beach Drive tour features a century of beach housi/ig. from Victorian cottages to turn-of-the-century Mansions, to exotic revivals of the 1910s and '20s and the best of contemporary design. WALKING TOl'RS of the National Landmark District provide an entertaining orientation for those who like history close-ifp and in detail.
