' Paper Works' Exhibit

OCEAN CITY - "Paper Works", an annual exhibition of the Philadelphia Watercolor Club, will continue at the Ocean City Arts Center in both upper and lower galleries the entire month of August The show consists of approximately 50 pieces of work in all types of aqueous media, in addition to drawings. prints, pastels and related media all executed on paper. Represented will be 12 - 15 selected NewJersey artist members of the club varying from traditional still lives and landscapes to abstract works using thread and fiber. FOUNDED IN 1900 by a small group of painters. The Philadelphia Watercolor Club, the oldest watercolor club organization in history, originated under the determination of both men and women aiming to expose and validate

Fiber Arts Show Set CAPE MAV POINT - A fiber arts show will be presented by 4he Barrier Island Weavers Saturday to Aug. 18 at Cape MayPoint State Park here. Area fiber artists will display their works daily 10 a.m.-7 p.m. in the Educational Resource Room at the park. Many of the weavings will be for sale and there will be demonstrations daily of weaving, warping, spinning. or tapestry weaving.
