STONE HARBOR - An open house for interested buyers, guests, borough officials. community leaders and private investors inaugurated The Leeward at a poolside reception. Aug. 1. This is Stone Harbor's newest condominium and townhouse complex, located on Second Avenue between 94th and 95th Streets. Developer and owner Larry L. Luing of Stone Harbor and Architect Steve J. Fenwick. of Linwood were on hand to discuss The Leeward's maiden voyage. LUING, A long-time resident of Stone Harbor, worked closely with the architect to achieve the look of The Leeward. He feels that Fenwick gave perfect shape to ideas and ideals that he had in mind for the building. "Stone Harbor is a special place, near to Atlantic City
and Philadelphia, but secluded in its own charming way. Stone Harbor is one of the East Coast's distinctive seashore communities It has its own special char acter and traditions and we've done our very best to add to that character." said Luing. The Leeward includes 18 units, five townhouses, three single bedroom, six twobedroom and four threebedroom apartments. Prices range from $$6,000$204,900 and the areas vary from 609-1,792 square feet. A number of the apartments have already been taken, but a few are remaining. Also, several small shops form part of The Leeward's complex, such as Timmer's Ice Cream and Sandwich Shop, William Ris Galleries. The Em Jay Gift Shop and Pinebrook.

DIANE PILAR Post For Pilar COURT HOUSE — Diane Pilar, materials management director at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, was recently elected president of the New Jersey Chapter 217 Health Care Material Management Society. Ms. Pilar served previously as first vice president of the 104-member society, which includes representatives from hospitals throughout the state. The chapter's membership is the second largest in the national pro- ' fessional organization. THE GROUPS objectives are to develop the theory and understanding of the materials management process in hospitals, promote the art and science of managing materials systems, to foster professional dialogue and development in the field and to encourage and assist its' members to develop their knowledge and increase - their skills in the performance of their professional duties. Ms. Pilar is a Certified Professional in Health Care Material Management through the professional certification program of the society. At Burdette. she directs the efforts of a 22-member department responsible for supplying all the materials required for day-to-day operation of the facility Areas under her supervision include purchasing, sterile processing, receiving. distribution, mail room and print shop.
