Hornets Go Undefeated STONE HARBOR - The third week of the borough soccer league ended as the Green Hornets survived two 2-1 victories to remain undefeated through nine games. In Monday's game the Hornets won their third shootout and thier second agaiast the Blue Waves It was a repeat of the game played the week before The Blue Waves were leading 1-0 the entire game until Brian James scored with two minutes remaining. Then for the se cond time this season the Hornets won a shootout This time the score was 5-4. The Maroon Mariners went 2 and 1 for the week, led hy Jamie Hosier and Doug Seelicke. Aces Stretch Little Loop Lead

STONE HARBOR - With only two weeks remaining in the Stone Harbor Lions Club Little League Baseball season, the Aces have extended their lead to 21* games over the second place Wildcats. The Aces used two strong pitching performances to record their victories over the Wildcats and Eagles Hard hitting and excellent pitching highlighted Tues day's showdown for first place between the Aces and ■ Wildcats. Stevie Wundcr threw brilliantly, allowing no hits and recording 16

strikeouts. Friday's game displayed newly acquired pitcher John Simpson's talents as he allowed just three hits in a 12-4 route over the Eagles. IN OTHER league action David Reagan helped the Panthers to their second win of the year by firing a two-hitter and knocking in 3 runs in his team's 14-2 triumph over the skidding Wildcats

The Eagles picked up their second win of the year in a hard fought 15-8 slugfest against the Panthers Mike Brown pitched well for the Eagles but needed some late inning relief help, from Kevin Zilligan to record the win.
