Annual Dinner, Auction Slated

CAPE MAY The Kiwanis Club will hold its 35th Annual Roast Beef Dinner and Auction Aug. 21

; at the Clubhouse, 1011 i Beach Dr. The full course dinner will be served 4-7 p.m. Tickets may be obtained from any Kiwanis member, or at the door, for I a $6 donation (adults) and $4 (children). I Auction admission is free. It begins, at 7:30 p.m. Bleacher seats are provided for bidders and spectators. All items to be auctioned have been contributed by participating merchants and businesses in the area. In addition to donations from shops and stores, including a bicycle valued at $200, there will be gift certificates from restaurants, theaters, gift shops, hotels and motels. Proceeds from the dinner and auction go into the Kiwanis' Charitale fund, used for public service activities. including annual scholarship awards to outstanding graduates at the Lower Cape May Regional High School Avalon Plans Dance Aug. 24 AVALON - The Reerea ( tion Department is now 2 taking reservations for the B August Dance. The Russ Patrick Orchestra will pro1 vide the music Aug. 24 > from 9 p.m. to midnight in | the Avalon Community Hall The dance, sponsored by the borough, is a B.Y.O.B. event, ice will be provided.
