Here's Dolly jSL By Dolly Stango J
^\^uVehear^nai^Tiahy^ times — "the family that prays together stays together". Such was the occasion of the large Farmer family reunion where they came- from far and wide... New York, Pennsylvania. Virginia, and even California. ..New Orleans, etc. Of course. New Jersey, too! For a whole weekend there was a round of dinners. luncheons, teas, etc at various motels where the families were staying. But alas, on Sunday last the festivities had to come to an end. The Cape May County Park was the place in Shelter 5 and foo«d was in abundance, prepared by a local caterer. Family members wore buttons which read "FARMER FAMILY ASSOCIATION 15)85". Here are some of the "Farmer'ites ': Dr. and Mrs. Robert Farmer. Dr. Gwendolyn Farmer, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Farmer, William Farmer. Yvonne Forston. Mr. and Mrs Reginald Frown. Clarice Logan and son. William. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bythewood. John Allison. Juanita Coleman. Franklin Farmer. Bruce Farmer. Sandra Farmer and daughter. Nicole, Dwight and Karen White (he's a former Pittsburgh Steelers football star). Alexis Walters. Stacey White. William Hooper and Alicia White, and Shereitte B. Johnson. All in all. over 37 family members plus some friends who waited on the side lines while the large gathering had its "business meeting". Lots of laughter and individual short speeches followed. In closing all joined hands in a circle while leader. Clarence Farmer, and others joined saying "May the Lord watch between thee and me while we are absent one from another", followed by Reginald Brown's quote: "Blest be the tie that binds" ( from the Mizpah). It was a family gathering to remember, with an overflow of love. SO irAPPY to be home once again is Jim Leahy of the Klothes Kove in Cape May and the Kranich Shoppes. While he was hospitalized Jim's family of 40 children plus Mrs. Leahy. »■« --sum
