CAPE MAY - In conjunction with other activities planned for the Third Annual Seafood Festival, the U.S. Coast Ifillage Has Pipe Band, Auto Show COLD SPRING - The Armadale Pipers of Vineland will again return to Historic Cold Spring Village to entertain visitors Saturday. The Armadale Pipe Band is a non-profit organization which sends proceeds to Scotland for the restoration of Armadale Castle, from which it takes its name. There are two shows scheduled, 1 and 3 p!m. Sunday. The Jersey Cape^ Auto Show will return with > a collection of antique and classic cars including a iModel T and a 1965 Mustang. The wing-tailed cars of the late 50s will also be represented at the show. These cars will be on display throughout the Village from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Historic Cold Spring Village is at 735 Seashore f Rd. Guard is holding a survival suit race 10:15 a.m. Saturday. Sept. 7. at Pier 4 of the Coast Guard Training Center The purpose behind the race is to familiarize people with the survival suit, to demonstrate the benefits it can provide for those who venture out on the seas, and to have some fun. Teams of four may register the mornng of the event, or in advance. Prizes will be awarded in three categories: Best Commercial Team. Best Coast Guard Team, and Best Comunity Supporters Team (the latter category is for those who do not earn their livelihood on the water, but who wish to participate). Other activities at the training center will include the blessing of the fleet, a memorial service to those lost at sea. a small boat and helicopter rescue demonstration. and open house aboard the Coast Guard and commercial vessels moored at Piers 3 and 4. The open house will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at noon.
House Tour To Benefit Rescue Unit CAPE MAY - An Old House Tour to benefit the city Rescue Squad will be sponsored by the Cape May Vintage Owners Assn., Inc. noon-4 p.m. Saturday. Sept. 14. This is a special tour ar- . ranged just for the rescue squad. All proceeds will go to help the squad meet the rising costs of operating on a non-billing basis. The tour is intended to attract local people as well as out of town visitors. Tickets are on sale at each house on tour and at Central Pharmacy on the Mall.
