List Prize Finders In Treasure Hunt

CAPE MAY — Over 400 enthusiastic youngsters participated in the 21st Annual Captain Kidd Treasure Hunt this Aug. 11 on the beach. Captain Kidd led the procession of eager treasure hunters from Convention Hall to 1st Avenue, where 130 treasure chests were buried. Youngsters from three age categories were rewarded for their perserverance with silver dollars enclosed in miniature chests. A chest containing a certificate for

a bicycle, courtesy of Swain's Hardware, was won by Jason O'Neil of Yeadon, Pa. AGES 5-6-7 Kate Markoe, Eric Biddie, Barbara Sidell, Shawn Seafood Festival i Contests CAPE MAY — Contests to delight the palate and the eye will be held in connection with the Cape May Seafood Festival Saturday, Sept. 7. Convention Hall will be the locale for both. A Seafood Contest will be conducted in the categories of Best Appetizer. Best Soup, Best Shellfish, and Best Fin Fish Dish. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded. The contest is open to all residents and restaurants in New Jersey. Judging will be conducted Saturday, and the awards will be announced both Saturday and at the Rotary Bandsk tand Sunday. Sept. 8. Entrants must register by calling the Chamber of Commerce at 884-5508. ALSO scheduled, for 3 p.m. in Convention Hall, is a bathing suit contest to select Miss Cape may Seafood, who will reign until next year's festival. Prizes for the winner and first and second runners-up include a bathing suit of the winner's choice from Julie's Beachwear; dinner for two at the Lobster house Restaurant, trophies, and cash prizes of $100, $50. and $25.
