Some of the jobs not covered by Social Security involve some type of family employment For example, a person under age 21 w ho wdrks for his or her father or mother cannot be covered by Social Security, nor can a man who works for his wife or a wife who works for her husband In addition, a parent who does domestic work for a child in the child's private home would not be covered by Social Security unless certain (conditions were met They include: FIRST. TIIKKK is a genuine employment rela tionship between the parent and child; Second, the child who employs the parent must have a child of his or her own who is under 18; or. if the child is 18 or older, he
or she must have a physical or metal condition that requires the personal care and supervision of an adult for at least four continuous weeks in the calendar quarter during which the domestic service is per formed, and Third, the employer is a widow or widower, or a divorced person who has not remarried, or must have a spouse living in the home who has a physical or metal condition that prevents him or her from taking care of the child for at least four continuous weeks in the calendar quarter during which the domestic service is performed I'KOPI.K WHO work for a corporation ordinarily would be covered by Social Security even though a family relationship exists between the individual and the person or persons who controls the corporation.
