School Bus Routes Listed In Avalon

AVALON — The Borough Elementary School will begin session 9 a.m. Wednesday, September 4. Children should not arrive at school before 8:45. The entrance bell will ring at 8:55 a.m. Dismissal will be at 3:20 p.m. A handbook will be sent home the first day of school listing school procedures. New pupils should be enrolled at the school office no later than Friday. Aug. 30. ELEMENTARY School bus routes will remain substantially the same as last year, transporting all Kindergarten children and children in grades 18 living north of 20th Street, but including the 21st Street area west of the waterway, and those living south of 37th Street. Middle Township High School routes will also be substantially the same. At this time, it is anticipated that a 5:00 bus service will again be provided. Saint Joseph's School in Sea Isle City bus route will remain basically the same as last year, but vrill also include Stone Harbor children. WILDWOOI) Catholic High School route will remain basically the same as last year, transporting Avalon and Stone Harbor students. Va. He was named to the Dean's List 4 times during the school term. To qualify for the Dean's List all A s must be achieved His final grade point average was 3.6. Cardaci is enrolled at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Fla.. where he expects to studyengineering. He has been in Orlando at football camp since Aug 5. Gregory and his father are both lifelong residents of the island.

KINDERGARTEN Route to School at 9 takes all Kindergarten children to the Stone Harbor Elementary School from Avalon Elementary School. Kindergarten Route at 12 * takes Kindergarten children home at noon Children living in the south end of the Borough will be discharged first. All children should be home by 12:30. Efforts are made to drop Kindergarten children off in front of their homes or at the nearest intersection. HIGH SCHOOL Route 1 serves high school students attending Middle who live in the south end of the island. The bus leaves the elementary school at 7:25 and travels south on Ocean Drive to 42nd Street . west on 42nd to Pelican; down Pelican and turn around to Ocean Drive; and travel south to the high school. High School Route 2 serves high school students attending Middle who live in the north end of the Island. The bus leaves the elementary school at 7:20 and travels to the inlet section via Ocean Drive with a side trip west on 21st Street to 6th Avenue and returns to 30th Street via First Avenue and Dune Drive and travels to the Parkway via the General Bell Causeway. All high school students return home on this bus at 2:30. PAROCHIAL HIGH School Route serves all Avalon and Stone Harbor students attending Wildwood Catholic High School. The First pickup will be at 7:05 at 25th Street and Avalon Avenue. The bus will go north on Avalon to 20th Street; west on 20th to First Avenue; north on First to 9th Street; west on 9th to Dune Drive; south on

Dune to 21st Street ; west on 21st to Fifth Avenue; return to Ocean Drive and proceed south to 42nd Street; west on 42nd to Pelican Drive; return to Ocean Drive and proceed south via Ocean Drive through Stone Harbor to North Wildwood. Special School Route serves special class children attending Special Services classes and living in Avalon and Stone Harbor. The first pickup will be in Avalon at 7:15 and the van will travel south into Stone Harbor and then to Court House.
