Schubert of 259 Cherrie Tree Lane. Green Creek, and Robert W. Seddon of Rural Route 1, Court House, has been assigned to Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, after completing Air Force basic training at Lackland Air Force Base. The airman will now receive specialized instruction in the civil engineering field. the club's biggest year yet for youthful sailors. About 40 kids, aged 8 to 15 have shown up to improve their skills daily and many have enviable records. You really have to have seen how much fun they had Aug. 23. Linda Echevarria and Sandy Finley were in charge of logistics. They drew the game plan for 18 booths and all the contests, which included egg throwing, pitch and putt, tossing sandbags in clowns' mouths, etc. ad infinitum. Excitement was at fever pitch and each contestant got a prize supplied by Don Echevarria and Jerry Finley. The day was polished off with Family Night dinner at the club and Jamie McDermott has promised to get us a list of winners of most awards for next week's column. WERE RIGHT on time for the 11 o'clock service at St. Mary's Episcopal Church last Sunday and were joined in a line waiting to get into the vestibule. Rector Wesley Martin hastened to tell Usher Eugene Fisher to set additional seats in the aisle. The overflow crowd was occasioned by the Holy Baptism of Marshall Thomas Ciccarone and to welcome guest organist William Fenimore. Jonathan is a business development specialist from Pittsburgh who arranges loans for small businesses in amounts from $10,000 to 10 million. He says the most rewarding aspect is that "this is a alleviating unemployment.'' St. Mary's is currently making plans for its 75th Anniversary Dinner, which will be held Sept. 25 at the Whitebrier Inn. Cost of the 6 p.m. dinner will be $15 per person — Mary Basford (967-3730) and Nancy Ritchie (368-2286) are taking reservations. STONE HARBORS Women's Civic Club held a

French Club Flair luncheon at the club Aug. 20. Alberta (Mrs. Ted) Pain chaired the event, which was closely tied to America's favorite game. After lunch Dr. and Mrs. H. Curiven led a game of World Trivia by showing slides they have taken on their travels and asking the audience to name the location of the view shown. Three stand-out guessors were: Theima Yaeger. who fielded most of the questions concerning Spain and Portugal, Sallie Ruth MacCorkell. who identified most about the British Isles, and Toddy Helton, who's been almost everywhere and never forgets a thing. Members were reminded to attend the Sea Mart Aug. 31 at the club from 10 'til 3, that Sept. 17 would be the season's last lunch at the club and that the club will be participating in the Sept. 21-22 Wings n Water Festival. They will also be happy to learn from this column, if they haven't already, that their parking lot adjoining the beach has, at long last, actually been repaved!

Cape Student Attends Camp SEA ISLE CITY - Kelly A. Emberger, a city resident, recently attended Millersville University's (Millersville, PA) Spanish language camp for high school students or recent graduates of high school. Miss Emberger, 243 40th St., is a student at Our Lady of Mercy Academy.
