New Staff Head At S.J. Christian

ERMA - James C. Thrash of Charlottesville, j VA, has been appointed South Jersey Christian Academy school administrator starting in September, according to the school's board of directors. Thrash, who is 53. comes to the school with some 18 years experience in public and Christian schools, including elementary. He has been both principle and teacher for eight years in two Christian schools, one in McAUen, Texas, and most recently in Charlottesville. Prior to his move into education in the mid-1960's. Thrash was a Presbyterian minister. His classroom teaching experience includes the areas of science, history, civics. English, and Bible. The South Jersey Christian Academy school board is especially pleased with Thrash's strength in the area of curriculum development. (SJCA uses

no single "Christian" curriculum, but instead seeks the best curricula for the various areas of study, whether from Christian or secular sources. The latter are then adapted to reflect a Christian perspective.) THRASH'S HOLDS a B.A. in Economics from Austin College, Texas; an M. Div. from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary; M.A. in History from Texas A&I University; and M.A. in Education

from CBN University in Virginia Beach, VA. He has an additional 18 hours of study in Education at Pan American University in • Edinburgh, TX. South Jersey Christian Academy is an interdenominational K-8 Christian day school. School starts Sept. 4. There are currently classroom openings at all grade levels.
