CAPE MAY is all agog getting ready for the annual Victorian Week scheduled for Oct. 11 through 20 — ten days of many well-planned programs. It all started out just as a Victorian Weekend in years past, but the response was so great and weather so conducive, we just had to extend it to a full 10 days and even then, many were wishing for more. ( There's the SONS, , VERSE AND WORSE - J j Vaudeville — a ] Magic Lantern Show — , How to Restore Your Vic- ] torian House Workshop — | How to Plant a Garden to Complement your Victorian House — Cottages at Twilight tour of restored homes — Mansions by Gaslight and open house at four mansions in Cape May. All good wishes to Marilyn and Manny Cabrera of Village Greene in Cape May on their upcoming family gettogether. HAPPY BIRTHDAY — Terry Yeager, Rita McTauge, Ingeborg Haufler, Kenneth Morrison, Tom Willis and John Castleton. Here's a recipe for Sour Cream Pound Cake which is always perfect and just great to bake ahead for guests: — 1/2 lb. of butter or margerine or even half and half of each. Six eggs, 3 cups sugar, 3 cups flour. 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 2 tsp. vanilla and one cup sour cream. Cream butter or margerine., add sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder and sour cream all together. Bake, for one hour or more at 350 degrees preferably in a bundt pan or turkhead — bundt pan makes the ridges which look attractive if you decide to put some chocolate or vanilla icing to make it all more festive. Happy eating! STAR OF THE Sea in Cape May is once again starting its choir under the direction of Rev. Robert — rehearsals will start Sept. 12, Thursdays, at 7 p.m. and will last only for one hour.
