Festival Poster Features Egret

STONE HARBOR - The Great Egret, which can be observed at the Stone Harbor Bird Sanctuary during its mating season, has been depicted by New Jersey artist Micale Budden to be the first collector's poster, representing the spirit of the upcoming Now , Jersey Wings N Water Festival, to be held in Cape May County Sept 21 to 22. Budden. a resident of Roedling. was last year's recipient of the "Best of Show Artist" award during the annual festival, which celebrates New Jersey's concern for its coastal regions and wildlife. CAPTURED IN all its splendid white plumage, the Great Egret best exemplifies the spectacular array of birds that rely on South Jersey's wetlands during mating season, and as a haven during fall migration to southern regions. Bud-

; den's brush has recreated i the Great Egret in its natural habitat. The poster ; is sure to become a colleci tor's item. Budden. along with other ; world class wildlife and maritime artists, and rei nowned bird carvers, will be on hand at the festival to dis- > play their works during the - two-day festival. Budden will also be available to f autograph posters during the event. APPROXIMATELY 1.000 posters will be available for - sale to visitors at the modest • cost. Proceeds will benefit » the Wetlands Institute, a non-profit organization ded- ; tea ted to promoting public » understanding and concern for the Garden State's f coastal life and environi ments.
