BONANZA RESTAUR A N T Bank Has TapestryExhibit WILDWOOD - The main office of Marine National Bank. 3301 Pacific Ave., is featuring a special exhibit of handwoven tapestries 1 designed by Cape May i County artist Jude 1 Burkhauser, through • Friday. | Included in the exhibit are three major works commissioned by Cape May County for its 1 percent for Art-In-Architec-ture Program which will hang in the permanent art collection of the newly constructed County Library in Upper Township near Tuckahoe. Of special interest in the tapestries is the artist's use of a technique she has developed which is now a trademark in her work — the use of raw, unspun fleece — which adds a sculptural element to the tapestries' surface. Currently, Ms. Burkhauser is involved in production of a tapestry which will commemorate the reappearance of Hailey's Comet this year — a project which was inspired by her discovery that the Bayeux Tapestry, made in 1066 A.D., portrayed the comet's appearance at that time.

CAPE MAY - There's more to it than the name when it comes to the Bonanza Family Restaurant. It is operated by a family which has been in the restaurant business for four generations. Also, involved in running the restaurant, at the end ' of the Garden State Parkway and its intersection with Ocean Drive, are Jerry and Rita Wallace, son Jerry III. and daughter Sheila, both certified managers. THE WALLACES ac quires the Bonanza franchise in January and opened the restaurant in May. All four family members went to Bonanza headquarters for a training course in March. A great-grandmother had the first seafood restaurant in Cape May. and the family originally owned the Anchorage Cafe there. Father Jerry has a bachelor's degree in business administration from St. Joseph's University. Philadelphia. He was formerly an Air Force and Coast Guard pilot, and had several tours as a fighter pilot in Vietnam.
