Cape May Point Shows Off Nature

CAPE MAY POINT - Guided walks and slide shows to acquaint visitors with the natural world are offered at Cape May Point State Park through the month of September. Walks are from one to one and a half hours and begin at the park Visitors' Center. Participants are advised to wear comfortable shoes, bring binoculars, a hand lens, and field guides, if available. Slide shows are held in the Environmental Education Building, next to the Visitors' Center. For more information, call 884-2159. ACTIVITIES scheduled, all free, include: Bird Walk-Wednesday through Saturday at 8 a.m.. Sept. 11-14, 18-21~ 25-28, and Oct. 2-3. The migration of birds through Cape May is underway Days of north or northwest winds bring the greatest flights to the southern tip of the peninsula. Nature Walk-Thursdays at 2:30 p.m., Sept. 12, 19 and 26. Oct. 3.
