I Wings 'n Water Garden Tours Set

STONE HARBOR - Two Seashore Garden Tours are slated in Stone Harbor and Avalon during the third annual Wings N Water Festival, featuring more than 30 events throughout Cape May County, Sept. 21 and 22. The tours will feature the varied array of flora gracing gardens of five homes in each community. Visitors will be able to inspect the bountiful plants, flowers, shrubs, trees and bushes that thrive on a barrier island. > THE GARDEN tour of Avalon will take place 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday. Sept. 21, beginning at the Community Hall, 38th and Avalon Avenue. The following day. Sunday, Sept 22. the garden tour of Stone Har- ' bor will be held l to 4 p.m . 1 beginning at the Women's '■ Civic Club. 9th Street and the Beach.

Visitors can either drive the tour route or ride the trolley that will stop at each garden on the tour. i More than 30 events and < demonstrations, including { world class decorative bird | carvings, art show, dune 1 walks and retriever demonstrations, are among the activities planned for the two-day festival at the scenic shore resort towns and beach areas. THE FESTIVAL benefits the Wetlands institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting public understanding and concern for coastal life and environments. Horse Show To Benefit Hospital The Fourth Annual Shore Memorial Hospital Horse Show and Fair will be held Sept. 27, 28 and 29 at the Mattix Run Equestrain Center in Smithville. The three-day event will feature pony rides, face painting, art and craft corners. the season finale of the area's polo games and the $10,000 grand prix prize for the horse and rider events. For the second year KYW-Channel 3 news an-, chor Jerry Penacoli will serve as honorary chairman of the horse show. Penacoli. who is also the co-host of "Check It Out". Channel 3's weekly magazine program for teens, will be at the show Sunday. Sept. 29 to sign autographs
