AWARD WINNER — Dawn Gift, an eighth grader at Richard M. Teitelman School. Erma. has been named a National Award Winner in basketball by The U.S. Achievement Academy. High School For Adults COURT HOUSE - Day and evening classes are now forming at the Cape May County Vocational Adult High School here. Academic study, career training, enrichment courses. and community service participation are available based on methods of study These include formal class instruction, self instruction, on-the-job training, and independent projects. Radiography Class Still Has Openings

COURT HOUSE - There are still openings for qualified students who wish to attend the Radiography School of Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital this year. A fully accredited two-year course is offered leading to qualification as a radiologic technologist. Classes begin this month. The hospital's radiography school has been serving Cape May County since 1963, when it was established by Daniel Wilner. M.D. The doctor's purpose was to ease a critical local shortage of Xray technicians. THE PROGRAM has been highly successful in meeting this need for welltrained allied health professionals. Half of the technologists currently emplolyed by the BTMH ■ Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging Department are graduates of the BTMH school. Dr. Wilner. a world renowned authority on radiology of bone tumors and allied disorders, continues to serve as medical director of the school. Mrs. Kathy McGarry, who holds a bachelor of science degree in radiologic technology, is the school's full-time program director. TO MAINTAIN the high standards that ensure the American Medical Association (AMA> accreditation. the hospital is constantly reviewing and revising its curriculum, according to Mrs McGarry. "Most recently, we have added courses in Computer Literacy and Medical Ethics and Law." she reporLs. Student's learning experiences now also include hands-on training with the BTMH CAT Scan, ultra sound, and nuclear medicine equipment Their computer course applies directly to the operating of these high tech computerdirected diagnostic tools MRS. McGARRY notes that students in the BTMH Radiography School benefit from both classroom instruction and practical experience with patients and equipment Their teachers are doctors of radiology, technologists and others possessing academic and professional degrees. Required qualifications for admission to the School of Radiography include a
