By Libby Demp Forrest AUTUMN BEGINS on Sunday. The Autumn equinox will occur at 9:07 p.m. EST, September 22nd. Once autumn sets in. nights will be longer than days and thus, we begin to wend our way toward winter. Winter can wait tho. As the season turns (does that sound like the name for a soap opera?) we naturally begin to think of all the chores that lie ahead to prepare our homes for winter. While the seashore no longer shutters in September as it once did, * there are tasks that need doing before long. While we're not one to turn on the heat until it's absolutely needed, the furnace always needs a good checking out beforehand. When the heat finally gets turned on, it always makes a little" purr through the radiators. ... THIS is a peak week for the autumn bird migration. The Wings 'n Water Festival seems to coincide perfectly with this annual nature show. Keep a look overhead and by all means, take some time this weekend to enjoy the Wings 'n Water Festival. While you're enjoying the seasonal change, you'll want to enjoy eating out. Why not give these places a try... JOANTHAN'S HARBOR. Located at 214 - 9fith Street. Stone Harbor Jonathan's Harbor features the best of the seashore. ■

Everything is homemade and every ingredient is fresh. The scrumptious homemade desserts include Key Lime pie, seasonal fruit pies, and other assorted goodies.
