CAPE MAY - The city will host a Halloween dance at Convention Hall p 8:30 p.m.- midnight Fri- , day. Oct. 25. The II -man Hal Davis Orchestra will provide music for dancing Show Given By Carvers CAPE MAY POINT - The second annual wood carvers' show will be held •v at the Cape May Point State Park 8 a.m. -5 p.m Saturday and Sunday in the newly refurbished visitors center. Chairmen are George and Evelyn Stiles, assisted by Harry and Jeri Shourds. Represented will be the South Jersey Wood Carvers. National Wood Carvers. Suncoast Wood Carvers of St. Petersburgh. Fla . and the Weather Whilllers of Palermo There will also be oil paintings and birds for sale. Oct. 27. from Lyle Lane. All registrations will be taken on the 27th directly behind the Victorian Bandstand in the Rotary Park beginning at 1 p.m. PRIZES WILL be awarded for first, second and third place in the following groups: 3 and under. 4-7, 8-12, 13-17, 18 and over and family. Special awards will be presented to the most original costume, scariest costume, best float, best decorated fire truck and best band. Immediately following the parade at the Emlen Physick Estate the judg ing, awards presentation arid children's games will be conducted The Halloween festivities are being sponsored by the City of Cape May, the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May and the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts.
