'The Sindia' Talk Topic

COURT HOUSE - The County Historical Society is sponsoring a lecture on "The Sindia" to be given by Mrs. Marion Ross 8 p.m. Wednesday. Oct. 2. in the public meeting room of the County Library, Mechanic Street. The Sindia was a fourmasted steel vessel 329 feet in length built in Belfast. Ireland, in 1877. She was primarily engaged in the East Indian and Chinese ON THE WAY to New York from Japan she encountered a storm off the Ocean City coast. On the morning of Dec. 15, 1901. she , came aground near 15th Street. Mrs. Ross was an eyewitness to this event. ' Mrs. Ross is an Ocean CiPolish Club Fall Dance VILLAS - The Polish American Club of Cape May County will hold its fall dance 8-12 p.m. Saturday at St. Raymond's Hall, Bayshore Road and Ocean Avenue. Polka and popular music will be provided by Chuck Pendrack of Pennsylvania.
