HALL OF KAMER — Boyd Sponaugle of Avalon displays plaque presented to him on his induction recently into Lebanon Valley College Athletic Hall of Fame. Sharing moment is his wife. Helen. Sponaugle. who was a football standout, is a 19:16 graduate of the college. He had a long career of coaching, including 19 years at McCaskey High School. Lancaster, Pa., where his teams won four league championships and his 1959 team was unbeaten. He has lived in Avalon since retirement in mid-1960s.

Tourney For Surf Anglers SEA ISLE CITY - This city will host the Fourth Annual Delaware Valley Surf Anglers Surf Fishing Tournament Saturday. Oct. 19. The Surf Anglers, a conglomerate of surf fishing clubs from all over the Delaware Valley, will offer team and individual competition for trophies. "We are expecting our largest turnout yet," tournament chairman Jim Jefferies said, "and we always look forward to our annual Sea Isle City visit, expecially since many of our members have homes here." The tournament will begin 6 a.m. with registration at the Townsend's Inlet Civic Center. 85th and Landis Avenue, and end at the same location for the awarding of trophies and awards at 3 p.m.

Dolphins Tryouts

WILDWOOD CREST - The Crest Swim Team is holding tryouts for any child 5 to 18. Competitive swimming experience is not required but basic swimming skills are necessary. Practices will be adjusted according to the swimmer's ability. Coach Dave Hart has brought the Dolphins into a challenging position in the South Jersey Swim League. "This summer we won our first meet since the team started." said Hart.

Lighthouse Run Goes On Oct. 20 NORTH WILDWOOD - The second annual Hereford Lighthouse Run. which was postponed by Hurricane Gloria, has been rescheduled for 2 p.m. Sun- i day.
