CAPE MAY — A standing ovation and a Community Betterment Award went to Franklin Menz, owner of the Menz Restaurant in Rio Grande, at the county Chamber of Commerce installation dinner last Wednesday Although Menz is involved with a host of charitable efforts, his current emphasis is on the drug rehabilitation program of the county Task Force on Drugs and Drunk Driving. "There's no place to take anybody on dope in the county," Menz said, in ac-

all year round not just at holidays." Menz has been a benefactor of the Cancer Society, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts. 4-H Wildwood String Band to name a few. Menz has a special feeling for "kids" and has personally paid for necked operations for several children and gotten doctors to donate their operations Menz has never refused helping a deserving person in need. His favorite expression is "I don't mind spending a million dollars, but I hate to see a quarter wasted Mens, confined to a wheelchair, has a policy at his restaurant for older people and handicapped. If they blow their horn, he has extra wheelchairs he sends out with his employes to help them into the restaurant.
