STONE HARBOR - The Wetlands Institute will begin its fall/winter lecture series 8:15 p.m. Saturday with Members' Night in Marshview Hail. Although entitled Members' Night, this special lecture is open to all members, friends, and prospective members of the Institute. THE LECTl'RE will feature Dr. William Reynolds, the Institute's newly arrived executive director. Dr. Reynolds is a research scientist who has published more than 100 scientific papers on marine, estuary and freshwater ecology. He has conducted research on the shores of the northern Arabian Sea off Pakistan, the Gulf of California off Mexico, the Gulf of Maine, and on Lake Waccamaw. NC and Harveys Lake. PA. DR.* REYNOLD'S il lustrated lecture "The Year of the Wetlands", will include slides of area marshes and wetland regions, and discussions on the importance of wetlands, how they affect us and how man affects this delicate environment This speciar evening will provide a unique opportuni ty to meet Dr. Reynolds, ask questions, and become acquainted with the new director.
