GERALD R. AVERELL, 74, of North Wildwood, Oct. 2. He was a foreman for the E.G. Budd Company in Philadelphia from 1933 to 1960, and later worked as custodian of the local recreation center for the past five years. He belonged to the local Republican Club. PATRICIA C. CARR, 34, of Woodbine, Oct. 1. A licensed practical nurse, she was employed by the Holy Redeemer Nursing

Agency in Swainton as well as Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. She was a local resident for a decade. EDMUND T. GREEN. 61, of Rio Grande, Sept. 28. A veteran of World War II. he was a retired elevator operator for Philadelphia hotels. He was a local resident for eight years. ELAINE C. HAMMETT. 49, of Ocean City, Oct. 3. A mortgage servicing officer for the Ocean City Home Savings and Loan Association. she was a charter member of the American Banking Institute. She was a local resident for 23 years. EDWARD C. JARVIS. 88, former borough commissioner from 1980 to 1984, of Cape May Point, Sept. 29. A retired auditor for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, he was a member of the local volunteer fire department and the Woodrow Wilson Democratic Club of Cape May. He was a Navy veteran of World War I. THOMAS MURDOCH, 32. of North Wildwood, Oct. 4. A local resident for 15 years, he worked for Bramble Plumbing Inc. ANNA M . PETTENGILL, 85, of Dias Creek, Oct. 2. Born in Quebec, she lived in Springfield, Mass., Camden County and Pittsburgh, pa. before moving here 25 years ago. She was a member of the local United Methodist Church. MARGARET T. "RITA" TAYLOR. 95. of Ocean City. in Wicomico County. Md., Sept. 28. A lifelong summer resident, she became a permanent resident three decades ago. She was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church and the Golden Age Club. FANNIE B. WARD, 97, of Ocean City, Oct. 3. A longtime local resident, she was a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church. JOSEPHINE YEARICKS. 85. of North Cape May, SeDt. 30. A practical nurse at Northeastern Hospital in Philadelphia, she belonged to the Senior Citizens Club at the Millman Center. She was a local resident for 15 years. JOHN SCOTT WILLIAMS. 27. of Wildwood, Sept 28. Bom in Court House, he spent most of his life in Wildwood.

'Genesis Marriage ' STONE HARBOR - "Genesis Marriage" is the title of Pastor Glenn Schoenberger's sermon for Sunday at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. Worship is at 11 a.m. SundayChurch School and the Adult Forum meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall. John's Gospel continues to be studied at Bible study Thursday. Sunday Oct. 20, Our Saviour will celebrate "Harvest Fest 85". Worship will center on the harvest and the Lord of the Harvest. WILDWOOD - "The Sacramental Nature of Marriage and Family" will be the topic of the homily and the theme for worship at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Atlantic and Poplar Avenues, Sunday. Sunday church school is at 9 a.m. The Adult Forum continues its study of the Gospel according to Luke The Holy Eucharist will be

celebrated 10:15 a.m. and will contain a children's message and an order for recognition of marriage anniversaries. Matins, or morning prayer, are held every Wednesday at 9 a.m. Adult education opportunities for the week include: a Wednesday 9:30 a.m. adult Bible study in Old Testament history and "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Lutheranism", an adult class Sundays at 7 p.m. A children's program is offered at the same time.
