Bike-a-thon Riders Are Sought

RIO GRANDE - Bike-a-thon chairman Mayor Michael J. Voll has asked Middle Township residents to join the St. Jude Children's Research Harvest Party at Heritage NORTH CAPE MAY - Each year, as October 31 approaches, children become excited about the day. which is called Halloween. In its original conception. Halloween was set aside as a day to practice satanic rituals, and to worship Satan himself. As a Christian institution. Heritage Academy believes that it is important to educate children regarding the origin of this day. In an effort to provide a creative alternative to Halloween, the school sponsors a Harvest Party for its students. On Oct. 30. the children will once again participate in Harvest Day activities. CHILDREN MAY dress up in costumes representing the harvest (Pilgrims. Indians, etc.) or the farm (farmers animals, vegetables, etc.). Games, activities and refreshments will highlight the afternoon. According to the school principal. George Meadows "the Harvest Party was conceived to provide children with a Christian alternative to Halloween."
