Yule Promotion for Stone Harbor

STONE HARBOR - A series of events in the Stone llarbor-Avalon area are being planned by the i American Red Cross and Stone Harbor merchants as part of a promotion entitled ''An American Christmas" It is designed to attract visitors and shoppers to the area, to involve local people in a fund-raiser for the Red Cross, and to establish self-perpetuating events associated with the town. THE CHAMBER of Com merce will sponsor and pay for a trip for two to Williamsburg, to be raffled off for another "American Christmas" for the following year Tickets sold will benefit the Red Cross. Other events planned are: December 4 Special wreaths will lx> created Ix'aring the Red Cross logo for houses on the Christmas tour and interested shops Red Cross ladies will use the

American legion Hall to decorate the wreaths. DECEMBER 12 — An American Victorian Christmas" Fashion Show and Luncheon at the Golden Inn. The show Christmas outfits from the past, including the all American Red Cross uniforms from World War I. Naval Uniforms. Coast Guard uniforms. American Legion uniforms, etc.. complete with appropriate narrative. December 13 — Men's Fashion Show at Snickers. Merchants involved in the Red Cross Boutique will model their Christmas ware at an informal fashion show. December 14 — Christmas concert at noon in center of town by U.S. Coast Guard "Bayberry Harbor Designer Boutique" at St. Mary's Hall. 1 with participating mer- j chants selling their wares. 20 percent of the proceeds from the one-day sale goes to the Red Cross.
