Workshop On Story Sharing COURT HOUSE - The Cape May County Library is sponsoring a Story Sharing Workshop 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4.- at the Main Library. This workshop follows a series of concert on storytelling at the Cape May County Library featuring a variety of tellers and styles. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss how members of the audience can relay the stories they've heard or translate their own personal adventures. reminiscences of the past and family stories into I tellable stories. THE MAIN focus of the program will be on the family story, how to tell a story, sources of stories that are appropriate for telling and how the different types of stories require different treatment Folklore and family stories grow and change with every telling, literary stories are usually told word for word, and myths are often chanted. The program is open to everyone. This free audience participation program to promote the ageold art of storytelling is sponsored by the N.J. Council of the Arts, the Cape May Cultural and Heritage Commission and the Cape May County Library. So if you have an old fish story, camping disaster, or out-of-the mouth of babes story come and share it with others at the Story Sharing Workshop. Quebec Trip In February COURT HOUSE - The Middle Township Recreation Department is offering a ski trip to Mont Ste. Anne in French Quebec Feb. 13-17, 1986 The package includes transportation, three nights' stay at the LeConcorde Hotel in Quebec and skiing at Mont. Ste Anne For those non-skiers, the Quebec Winter Carnival is taking place the same weekend. City Hosts Big Dance CAPE MAY - The city hosted its third Annual Halloween Dance and Costume Contest at Convention Hall. Oct. 25, with the big band sounds of the Hal Davis Orchestra Costume winners were Frank and Florence Wesolowski of Philadelphia. Best Couple; Ellen Wagner. Wildwood. Most Onginal, and Dotty Somlin, West Wildwood. Funniest. The prizes were donated by Alexander's, the Chalfonte and the Washington Inn.
