Halloween Winners (
CAPE MAY - The city's third annual Halloween parade was spiced with a variety of floats, bands and costumed children among its 180 entries. With the help of the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May and the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts the city's procession marched off af 3 p.m. with Grand Marshal Arthur 'Bud' Cohen leading a band of merry followers which
included Smoky the Bear, Lower Cape May Regional High School Band, the Wildwood String Band, Miss Cape May County Sheila Yates, the N.J. National Guard, Cape May County 4-H Queen Lollie Rea, the MAC Trolley, the Doctors of Rhythm and the Thunderette Twirlers. FOLLOWING THE J parade at the Emlen \ Physick Estate children's j games were played and the I judging and award presen- ] tation were conducted. ! Special awards were < garnered by the Joanne \ Reagan School of Dance for . its theme, Satan's Alley. J for the scariest entry; the 1 Wildwood String Band for j most original; the Lower \ Cape May Regional High School Marching Band for Best Band; the West Cape May Fire Department for Best Decorated Truck and to Holland's Texaco for the Best Float entry of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
