CAPE MAY — In opening game action of the Cape May Men's Recreation Volleyball League, defending champion Sol Needles Agency played National Associates in a rematch of last year's championship match. This time National Associates prevailed by taking two of three games. 15-3, 9-15, and 15-11. In other games McDevitt & Matagiese swept Burke Builders by 15-1. 15-6 and 15-9. Carlos O'Brien's defeated Pete's Racquet Club by scores of 15-5, 15-11 and 15-7.

Eckel's Diesel swept past Mayer's Tavern 15-0, 15-1 and 15-0, while the Coast Guard Breakers defeated Cape May Mobile Estates 15-5. 15-9 and 15-7. City Offers Chances To Swim CAPE MAY - The Olympic-size pool at the Elementary School is available for open swim activities as part of the city's recreational program. A senior citizen swim (55 years and older) takes place Monday, Wednesday and Friday 3:30-4:30 p.m. The pool is available Monday 7-9 p.m. for men and women 18 years and up as part of Coed Adult Night. Coed Teen Night takes place Tuesday 7-8:30 p.m. for teenagers 17 and under. There is a Youth Hour 5:45-6:45 Saturday night for 17 and under. That is followed by Family Night 7-9 p.m. Saturday.
