Cape May's Tours Run To December

CAPE MAY - Throughout November, the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) is sponsoring Combination Trolley/Physick Estate Tours and Walking Tours that offer visitors an overview of Cape May's famous Victorian architecture. Combination tours are offered on the following schedule: Saturdays: 11 a.m., noon. 1:30 p.m.. and 2:30 p.m. Sundays: 11 a.m. noon and 1 p.m Wednesdays: 11 a.m. and noon. These tours begin at the Emlen Physick Estate, VFW Meets CAPE MAY — PetersonLittle Post 386, Veterans of Foreign Wars, meets 8 p.m. the first and third Thursday of each month at the post home. 419 Congress St. Historical • Soc . Meet Nov. 20 DENNISVILLE - The regular monthly meeting of the Dennis Township Historical Society will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Nov. 20. in the Ludlum School on Route 47 here. The speaker will be William Sturm, who will talk about "The Statue Of Liberty". Refreshments will be served. UPON RETURNING to the estate, visitors are guided through the interior of the Physick House. This 16-room mansion was designed by renowned architect Frank Furness and built in 1881 in the Stick Style. Ending this combination tour, visitors are served hot cider and goodies in the Physick House Dining Room. Tickets are on sale at the entrance to the Physick House. Walking tours of the Historic District are offered every Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 a m Each tour takes begins at the information Booth at the head of the Washington Street Mall (at Ocean Street).
