JAMIE KIOCCA. the 13-year-old (now he's 14) Cape May's dearest son who succumbed to acute leukemia after a desperate struggle to live, will always be remembered. Just recently the Cape May Coast Guard Training Center made a sizable donation to the Children's Hospital in Philadelphia for research into the deadly Jlness which took Jamie from us. It's in Jamie's name that the experiments will continue to somehowcome up with something so as to help other children af flicted with this terrible disease Another sizable donation also in memory of Jamie Fioeca to the Children's Hospital was from the South Jersey Kennel Club. Jamie's grave is always decorated — sometimes with little floral pieces, at times with large bouquets Right now there a.re several small pumpkins and from time to time cards and even handwritten notes left pinned thereon. Mildred Menz, not only helped make sandwiches but she came down to the "Dugout" (church basement lounge) where the celebration took place. And to Ruth Rudolph, also hospitalized. _ Round Table On Civil War COURT HOUSE - The Civil War Round Table of Cape May County will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday. Nov 26. in the meeting room of the Cape May County Library building. Mrs Janet Nash, retired educator, will speak about her great grandfather. Robert Smalls, who escaped from slavery, then served with the U.S. Navy during the Civil War. Anyone interested in membership, is asked to call 465-4651.
