Churches Joining To Give Messiah '

WILDWOOD- The First Baptist Church. Maple and Atlantic Avenues, will resound with Handel's "Messiah"' 4 p.m. Dec. 15. The choirs and members of First Baptist Church of Wildwood. First United Methodist Church and ' Community Church of Wildwood Crest. Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Wildwood. and St. Ann's Church of Wildwood. and several directors of music in Cape May churches will be participating. THE DIRECTOR of the 5d-voice ensemble is Mayola Mallon. who received her Bachelor Degree in Musicology from Zeckwer-Wahn at the Philadelphia Music Academy. She held first choir three years in High School orchestra: first Choir in Haddon Heights Symphony; played with N.J. State Orchestra for three years: Camden County Orchestra for two years; was soloist with Haddon Heights Symphony ; played with Woodbury Symphony, also Gulf Coast Symphony in St. Petersburg and Tampa, Fla. Mrs. Mallon is organist-director at First United Methodist Church. Wildwood Crest. The Soloists are: Martha Cohen, director of music at First United Methodist Church. Cape May; Ruth Fritsch, director of music at Cape Island Baptist, Thanksgiving Service Set WILDWOOD - The greater Wildwood Pastoral Association will sponsor an Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service Sunday. Nov. 24. at 4 p.m. The host church will be Holy Trinity Lutheran. Poplar and Atlantic avenues. Wildwood. All are invited, please bring a friend.

chairman with Mayola Mallon in bringing this work to Wildwood. Anyone who can sing, read music, or has a good ear. can join the group. Rehearsals are each Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Wildwood. and each Thursday at 8 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Wildwood Crest.
