School Gets Bongart's Approval

AVALON - The borough board of education has received written notification that County Superintendent of Schools Robert Bongart has recommended to Commissioner of Education Saul Cooperman that the Avalon School District to certified for a period of five years.

Ronald Bonner, chief school administrator of the Avalon School, stated "This recommendation follows two extensive days of on-site monitoring by a team of educational specialists from the County Office of Educa - tion. The District has been in the process of preparing

for the monitoring visitation for over a y^r. "We are pleased with this recommendation. The report received from the county superintendent of schools will be discussed at the Dec. 1 lth meeting of the board of education."

Trip Planned To Longwood DENNISVILLE - The Dennisville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a trip to Longwood Gardens Saturday. Dec. 29 Bus will leave the fire hall. Petersburg Road. 11 a.m. For information, call 861-2241 after 3 p.m.
