Winter Schedule Announced by SIC
SEA ISLE CITY - The winter schedule of activities has been announced by the city's recreation department. Events slated are as follows: At Public School Sunday: Adult gym, 7-10 p.m.; Monday: 7th and 8th grade gym. 7-8:25 p.m.; adult volleyball. 8:30-10 p.m.; Tuesday: 4th, 5th and 6th grade gym. 7-8:25 p.m.; high school gym. 8:30-10 p.m.. WEDNESDAY: adult gym, 7-8:15 p.m.: adult volleyball. 8:15-10 p.m.. Thursday. 7th and 8th grade gym, 7-8:25 p.m.. high school gym. 8:30-10 p.m.; Saturday: K-3rd

Elks' Hoop-Shoot Slated for Dec. 14
COURT HOUSE - The Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge will have its 14th annual Hoop-Shoot contest Saturday. December 14 at the Middle Township Middle School here. Over three million youngsters from throughout the country entered last year's competition for boys and girls in age categories 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13. Each contestant has 25 shots at the hoop. The boy and girl in each group with the best scores advance through four tiers of competition to qualify for the national finals at Iiidianapolis. Inc. April 18-19-20. 1986. LOCAL CONTEST winners will compete against other lodge winner in the South District contest. Basketball Signups CAPE MAY - The city will hold basketball registrations and tryouts for its recreational basketball league Saturday. Dec. 7. at the Elementary School. Boys and girls 8-10 are asked to be at the school by 11 a.m.. and ages 11-14 should be at the school at 12:30 p.m. The fundamentals of the game will be stressed by the coaches. which will be held in January Names of the national winners will be inscribed on the Elks National Hoop-Shoot plaque on permanent display in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, in Springfield, Mass. Angela Patten, 13, of Margaret Mace School, North Wildwood, and Brian James, 12, of Stone Harbor Elementary School, were last year's local winners. Angela sank 17 and Brian hit 18 out of 25 free throws. Angela won the district contest and finished third in the state championship. Exercise Programs WILDWOOD - Exercise classes will be held 10-11 a.m. each Monday. Tuesday. and Wednesday. Wildwood Recreation Center. The eight -week program will take place in the new dance exercise room upstairs in the rec center. 243 E. Rio Grande Ave. Instructor Frances Bratten has previously led classes in North Wildwood.
