Stuck on what to get someone on your Christmas list? Buy them a tx>ok — they are long lasting, need no batteries, come pre-as-sembled and are available in all shapes, sizes and subjects to please everyone. I would heartily recommend that you avoid the shopping crowds, the hectic pace, the bewildering array of faddish goods and stop at a bookstore, quietly browse and give everyone on your list a book for Christmas. (YES. I practice when I preach — I'm giving alphabet books to the pre-school-ers. several of the recommended books from this article, cookbooks, craft books and a blank book for a budding author. ) I would implore you to present a book to your grandchildren, niecfr, nephew. son and daughter. Matching an interest in a subject to a truly beautiful book will guarantee that it will be read and re-read, a personal treasure. Everyone in the family would delight in Shel Silverstein's precious The Sidewalks Ends and/or The Light in the Attic which will be read year-'round for
