The Ocean City Red Raiders are still alive in the Cape Atlantic League after defeating Pleasantville jn a 33-13 Thanksgiving Day game Raider quarterback Bob Krokenberger ran the show and 137 yards to lead the Division 1 co-champions to their eighth win of the season. Krokenberger put the Raiders first three touchdowns on the scoreboard and recorded his 100th career point \ After seven years of bad luck against the Raiders (235-32). the Greyhounds saw a flash of hope on the Ocean City 12 yard line at first and 10. With the score at 20-13, P-ville was given an opportunity to knot it at 20 before the end of the third quarter. However, the final series of the period featured a fumble, two five-yard penalties and two incomplete passes resulting in a Greyhound regression to the fourth and 21 on the Raiders 23., The football was in Raiders hands seconds into the fourth quarter. After eight plays and a 17-yard run by Leon Brown. Ocean City shattered Pleasantville's dream. Ending the game on an upbeat for Ocean City was a one-yard hop over the goal line by James Brown for a 33-13 final. Lower Cape May feasted on Wildwood Thanksgiving Day as they smashed the Warriors 33-7 Wildwood's mere 18 players looked as if they would put up a good fight after halting the Capers at fourth and inches, then driving toward their own target However the Warriors fell short of a touchdown due to an incomplete pass on the final down. As soon as Lower got the football back, they pushed it to the Wildwood 49. Caper quarterback Kevin Lare spotted Mark Schiffbauer for a touchdown before the first quarter ended Bob Smith booted the extra point for a 7-0 Caper start. Lower still had a lot of wock to do before sitting down to a turkey dinner They added an 80-yard drive including three War rior penalties, and Lare finished it off with a twoyard tally.

Caper Ron Nelson was next to enter the end zone, and Lare hit him for a 15-0 advantage. A 22-yard field goal by Smith gave the Capers an 18-0 halftime lead. Wildwood's first third quarter was limited to defense as they sat with their backs against their own goal line. The score was boosted to 20-0 when Warrior Bill Hoyle was forced into a safety. A free kick put Lower on the Warrior 46. and seven plays later Lare connected to Schiffbauer for a 26-0 lead. Wildwood finally reacted with a 15-yard pass from Torey Harris to Craig Burke. The Capers 'ended the scoring with an 11-yard gallop by Paul Hazel. The Press field hockey and soccer all-star teams were posted last weekend and Cape May County was a major contributor.
