House Tour To Brighten Weekend
STONE HARBOR - An American Christmas promotion of the American Red Cross and Stone HarAvalon merchants will feature a house tour. "Christmas By The Sea." in both towns Sunday, Dec. 15, from 1 to 5 p.m. The tour, which will begin at the Wetlands Institute building on Stone Harbor Blvd., where tickets will be available, will take the participant through seven homes, traditional. Victorian, and Colonial decorated with the fineries of the season. One will feature a waissail bowl, and three merchants, the Red Geranium, The Sandbar, and Whalon's will host open house to warm the hearts of the traveller from home to home. From seashore Victorians, to tiny cottages, to decorator spectaculars designed by modern architects. there will be a home to delight each taste. The Sandbar Florist will feature at both l p.m. and 3 p.m. a Colonial centerpiece decoration demonstration coupled with wine and ; cheese. Whalons will host, from 1 to 4 P.M., an open house and hospitality bar complete with a decorator chair from their store that is being raffled off to
benefit the Red Cross. The Red Geranium will feature hors d'oeuvres. sweets and a Christmas punch. Tickets are available, on the day of the tour, at the Wetlands Institute, at Diller and Fisher Realty in Stone Harbor, and before the event in participating merchants stores in both Avalon and Stone Harbor They may be obtained at Once Upon A Time Book Store on 96th St. in Stone Harbor; at The Princeton Grill in Avalon and at other merchants. Seniors Set Bus Trip STONE HARBOR - The Stone Harbor Seniors, under the leadership of Jerry Rowland, president, are sponsoring a trip to Wheaton Village Wed. Dec. 18. The bus leaves the Stone Harbor Civic Club at 11:00 a.m. for a day of enjoying the arts of Wheaton glass blowing, the shops and Village streets, and lunch at the local restaurant.
