5 CAPE MAY - The city I will expand its Karate proI gram beginning Jan. 6. as part of its winter recreation schedule. Karate instruction will be provided for beginner to advanced students with classes for youths and adults. These are the classes: Beginner, all ages. 12-1 p.m.; Beginner. 17 & Under. 4-5 p.m. ; Advanced. 17 & under. 5-6 p.m.; AdNew Book Published -I OCEAN CITY - Virginia M. Stetser, a year-round resident of the city, has celebrated her love of the ocean, what lives in it, on it, and near it. in a book of poetry entitled The Gray Whale and Other Poems. Her previous works include a non-fiction book about the exciting time when three of her five children were At Sixes and Sevens, and two books of poetry, African Palette and Egyptian Harvest. The Gray Whale and Other Poems is published by Laridae Press, 3012 Wesley Ave., Ocean City, NJ 08226, in paperback. It can be purchased through the publisher, at local bookstores or at the Ocean City Historical Museum. This is the most personal of Stetser's books of poetry and would appeal to anyone "attuned to the rhythms of the sea".
