I SIC Poll On Trash Pickups
I SEA ISLE CITY - ■ Residents ae being asked to H participate in a survey con- ■ cerning trash pickup in the ■ resort during the winter V months. I Many residents seek a ■ twice a week trash pickup. ■ while others feel that once ■ a week trash pickup during ■ the off-season are suffi- I ■ cient. A poll taken at a re- ■ cent commission meeting ■ showed that residents were ■ almost equally divided on ■ the issue, and the board of ■ commissioners decided to ■ ask tfie general public to ■ decide the issue I THOSE FAVORING the ■ twice weekly pickup of ■ trash felt that this extra ■ service to residents was ■ well worth the cost. Those ■ seeking once-weekly ■ pickups cited the cost savI ings in manpower and gas. ■ as a way of keeping city ■ government costs low. feei- ■ ing that the small inconve- ■ nience was far outweighed ■ by the tax dollar savings to ■ the city. I Commissioner James I Iannone. director of public E works, is asking all citizens B of the city to make their
thoughts known by calling Sea Isle City Public Works at 263-6000. The Sea Isle City Board of Commissioners want the residents of the city to have the best service possible, but at the same time, want
to save tax dollars. This is a situation where the people will have the final word Those citizens unable to call may write their views to Commissioner James Iannone. City Hall. Sea Isle City. NJ 08243.
