Reaching Out Easier Cape area residents will stepped into the Information Age Sunday, Dec. 15, when New Jersey Bell began operating a digital I electronic switching system in Dennisvilie. The office will serve 2,000 customers with telephone | numbers that begin with 861, according to Bill Sturm, New Jersey Bell's community relations manager in Cape May County. The system can provide voice, diata and video services for both residences and businesses. It is modular in design and can be expanded easily and economically to meet future telecommunications needs. Ocean City GOP Club Election OCEAN CITY - Hairy Culbertson was elected president of the Ocean City Republican Club at the organization's meeting Dec. 9. Other officers elected to serve beginning in January include C. Gus Bruno, first vice-president; Lois Kilpatrick. second vicepresident . Jane Culbertson, secretary; Diane Powell, treasurer; Robert Hansberry, financial secretary. Trustees elected to new two-year terms are Lenor Brady, Gary Jessel, Dan Riley, Peter Trofa and Allen Vernon. Trustees serving the second year of two-year terms are Denise Jessel. Don Moiso, Stacy Murphy, George Powell and Jack Schreiner. TERMS OF office begin at the next general meeting Jan. 13. Program topic of the December meeting was "The Red Star and Star Wars", given by the Rev. William R. Allen. Topic of discussion for the January meeting is "Partisan Municipal Government - the 'Pros and 'Cons' ". Harry Delventhai will be moderator and the other members of the panel discussion group will be Kyran Connor, Jack Gilbert, Joel Mott, Jr. and Joel Mott. III. All are members of the club. All Traffic On FerryDecreases CAPE MAY - During November, traffic on the Cape May-Lewes Ferry decreased by 520 vehicles and 572 passengers from November, 1984, according to David S. Chapman, general manager of the ferry. Ferry traffic for November, 1985, was 11,268 vehicles and 29,466 passengers compard to 11,788 vehicles and 30,038 passengers for November, 1984, a decrease of 4.4 percent for vehicles and a decrease of 1.9 percent passengers.
