Tell Absentees How to Vote

AVALON — Here's how "snow birds'" who won't be in town for the Jan. 28 recall election can vote by absentee ballot, according to borough and county officials. Applications for absentee ballots are available from the municipal clerk or the

county cierk at 7 N. Main St. in Court House. They should immediately be mailed to the county clerk, who verifies them and mails absentee ballots, already printed. The absentee ballots must be received by the county board of elections by Jan. 27. m

it seems as though the environmentalists have convinced the state that the way to go with the newNorth Wildwood Boulevard reconstruction is Alternate C. From the beginning, few denied the need for some type of road reconstruction, but the two options were as far apart as could be. The residents along North Wildwood Boulifvard seemed to favor Alternate A. which would have cut deeper into the estuaries and wetlands, thereby sparing their homes. They also argued that a much wider road was also an un-

necessary expense. THE OTHER SIDE of the coin had the environ mentalists. the City of North Wildwood and the Township of Middle. Their choice was Alternate C and each side lobbied, hard for its cause. The Department of Transportation has concurred and has recommended the "C" option to the State for approval. The end result is that by March 1987. barring any other difficulties, construction will begin along North Wildwood Boulevard. The work will raze 102 homes and approximately a dozen (Page 32 Please)
